Beware of Fake Myntra Jobs or Offers

Have you recently received an SMS, email or call claiming to offer a job or unbelievable discounts from Myntra? If Yes, beware. These messages are sent by fraudsters to cheat you out of hard earned money. As the number of people using the internet increases each day, online fraud too rises. Fraudsters come up with innovative tricks each day to cheat innocent people and make quick money.

Fraudsters normally use the names of big companies to lure people. They have used one of India’s famous online shopping portals, Myntra's name to make a quick buck. Fraudsters have been sending messages and emails to people, posing as Myntra employees.

“It has come to our attention that a number of our customers have been receiving fraudulent emails, messages and phone calls from fake agencies and fake online contests,” said an email from Myntra.

The company has also stated that employees of Myntra and its recruitment officers will never ask anyone to deposit money for gifts and job offers.

Normally, fraudsters ask people to deposit money for recruitment fees, Processing Fees, Security Deposits, Software or Equipment Charges, On-Boarding Charges, Service Charges and so on.

In case you receive any call or message asking you to deposit money for availing a discount or for getting a job at Myntra, it’s a fraud. Myntra never asks its customers or candidates to deposit money. 

In the email, Myntra has also warned people not to provide personal banking information like card number, CVV, OTP, user name and password for any kind of job offers or discounts. Normally, fraudsters trick people by collecting their personal banking information. So, it is advisable to very careful and alert to such frauds. If you are not careful, you will end up losing your hard earned money to fraudsters.

Myntra has also suggested reporting to the number “+91-80-61561999” in case you receive any calls, messages or emails asking you to deposit money or provide personal banking information.

You must always keep one thing in mind. Not just Myntra, no other companies or banks ask you to provide personal banking information. So, you must never share your card number, CVV, OTP, and other sensitive information with anyone.

Never fall for fake offers

Do not fall for the offers which are too good to be true. In case you receive a message or email claiming that you have won a gift or you will be offered a product at an unbelievable discount, do your research before moving ahead.

You must be aware on the job offers provided in the names of big companies. In case you are asked to deposit money for a job, kindly stay away from such Companies.
