If you are working in a company, you will be familiar with the EPF scheme. EPF scheme is an investment option available for salaried employees to save money for retirement. Under this scheme, you will have to make a certain contribution towards the EPF scheme and the employer will make an equal contribution.

EPF scheme is managed by the EPFO or the Employees' Provident Fund Organization. Each company which has more than 20 employees will come under the gambit of the EPFO.  EPFO has more than 6 Crore subscribers, 12 Lakh employers and 65 Lakh pensioners.

As a member of the EPF scheme, if you have any grievances you can lodge your complaints and get them resolved. EPFO has a strong mechanism for addressing the grievances of its members. There are various modes for registering and resolving grievances of members which include, CPGRAMS, EPFiGMS, Call Center, Social Media, Emails, NidhiApkeNikat and Facilitation Centres.

In this blog, we will discuss various modes of registering and resolving EPFO grievances.

1. CPGRAMS

Centralized Public Grievance Redress And Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) is an online web-enabled system. This system is developed by NIC, in association with the Directorate of Public Grievances (DPG) and the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). You can file a complaint or query by visiting www.pgportal.gov.in.

2. EPFiGMS

EPFiGMS is an in-house grievance redressal platform of the EPFO. To file your grievances you must visit www.epfigms.gov. This organization has resolved 92% of complaints within 20 days of receiving them.  Around 4% of complaints are resolved between 20 and 30 days and less than 60 days.

3. Social Media

You can even report your grievances on the Ministry of Labor & Employment's Twitter handle and Facebook Account.

4. Call center

You can report your complaints by calling up the EPFO call centre no - 1800118005. This call center approximately receives 1600 calls each day and it is operational 24X7 round the year; including Saturdays and Sundays. Earlier calls were attended only between 9:15 am to 5:45 pm.

5. PRO Facilitation Centre

Almost all the offices in the organization have a PRO (public relations officer) and a facilitation centre. EPF account holders can report complaints at the felicitation centers.

6. NidhiAapkeNikat

With the intention of making EPFO services more accessible, the organization carries out NidhiAapkeNikat camps on the 10th of each month. You can report your grievances on this platform.

7. Email

You can report your complaints by sending an email to uanepf@epfindia.gov.in.
