Life is uncertain and you never know what happens tomorrow. People who are healthy today might fall ill tomorrow. In such a situation, it is very difficult to meet medical expenses. Medical expenses are rising each day and can burn a hole in your pocket. When people do not have money to meet medical expenses; they may avail a personal loan which has very high interest rates.
Availing personal loan to meet medical expenses is not a good idea; as you bear not just a high rate of interest; there’s medical expenses to worry about. Now; there is a new option to offer financial aid during a medical emergency. It is a health credit card which helps you meet the medical expenses; just by swiping the card. RBL Bank and India's leading digital healthcare platform, Practo, have joined together to offer a health-focused credit card – RBL Bank Practo Plus. This is the first credit card in the healthcare industry. It is powered by Mastercard and available in both Practo and RBL mobile apps and websites.
You can apply for Health Credit Card directly through the Practo app or RBL bank website. This card offers services in both metros and non-metro cities, across India. The annual charges on this card are Rs 2,000.
1. Users of RBL Bank Practo Plus credit card are guaranteed, unlimited online consultations with experienced and qualified doctors 24/7 for a year. This is really helpful rather than rely on self-diagnosis or advice from friends and relatives.
2. Users are eligible for one free full-body health check-up.
3. Users are also eligible for cashbacks in the form of HealthCash (1 HealthCash = 1 Rupee in Practo). For every Rs 100 spent by using this card, the cardholder gets 1 Practo HealthCash.
As soon as RBL Bank Practo Plus credit card is issued, a Practo health plan account is created on the Practo app. The cardholder can access the plan under the MyHealth Plan section on Practo by logging in using the registered mobile number. The cardholder can also get access to the domestic airport lounge; twice each quarter.
Commenting on the partnership, Tarun Bhambra, VP and Business Head, Practo, said, “This new credit card is focused on making healthcare more affordable for consumers. We all have regular spends on appointments, medicine, and diagnostic tests. This card gives a unique ability to consumers to use their regular spends for household expenses for subsidizing their monthly health spends on Practo platform.” At Practo, it's our constant endeavor to make healthcare simpler, more accessible and affordable. This card is one step towards achieving this vision."
