After submitting the form and documents, the official at the center will take your photograph and biometric data. The biometric data includes the impression of fingerprints of both the hands and a scan of your iris.
After checking the biometric data and documents, you will be given an acknowledgment slip of your enrollment. The slip will contain a 14-digit enrollment number which helps you check the status of your application. You keep track of the Aadhaar application status on the UIDAI website using this 14-digit number.

If you have applied for a new Aadhaar card and want to check the status of your application, you need to visit the official UIDAI website. Once you visit the website, you can see an option called "Check Aadhaar Status" on the left-hand side. You have to click on it.

After clicking on "Check Aadhaar Status" you will be taken to a new page where you need to enter Aadhaar application details such as the enrolment ID and the date/time of enrolment.
You can keep track on your Aadhaar application with these details. Once the Aadhaar card is generated, you can download it. Your Aadhaar card will be delivered to you within 3 months via India Posts.
