There are 4 ways to check EPF balance online
You can check your EPF balance on the official website of the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). To check your PF balance, your UAN must be activated by your employer. UAN or Universal Account Number is given to the employees enrolled under the EPF scheme. Your UAN will be same throughout your life and it is given by the EPFO.
Steps to check the EPF balance on EPFO portal
Go to the EPFO portal. Click on the tab ‘Our Services’ and choose the “for employees” option from the dropdown list.
Step 1: Visit www.epfindia.gov.in and click on "Our Service" and choose "For Employees" option.
Step 2: Once you click on "For Employees" option you will be taken to a new page, where you have to click on "Member Passbook" which is under the option "Services".
Step 3: You will be taken to the page shown below, where you have to enter your UAN and password after it has been activated.
Once you enter all your details you will be able to check your PF passbook.
You can also check your EPF balance by sending an SMS to 7738299899. You have to send a message as
EPFOHO UAN ENG. ENG is the first three letters of the language you prefer. If you want to receive a message in Kannada, then type EPFOHO UAN KAN. This facility is available in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali.
To avail this service your UAN must be seeded with your bank account, Aadhaar or PAN.
Here too your UAN must be seeded with your bank account number, Aadhaar and PAN to check your EPF balance. You just have to give missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. Once you give missed a call, you will receive an SMS providing PF details.
You can also check your EPF balance by downloading the "m-sewa app of EPFO" from the Google Play Store. Once you download the app, you must click on "Member" and on "Balance/Passbook"’. Later, you will be asked to enter your UAN and registered mobile number to provide EPF details.
