Unfortunately, not everyone is happy with the products received. According to a survey which was conducted in the year 2017, 73% of Indian online shoppers faced challenges like product return, lost products, shipping issues, miscalculated duties and so on. Many customers were even cheated by sellers.

In this blog, we will discuss what you must do, if you have been cheated while shopping on Flipkart. We all know that Flipkart is India’s largest online shopping portal and when we talk about online shopping; the first thing that comes to mind is Flipkart. Flipkart is an intermediary that helps sellers connect with buyers across the country. But, many people have faced problems while shopping on Flipkart.

There are some allegations against Flipkart saying it’s selling fake products. There were even some cases where customers have received stones and soap bars, instead of the original product. The truth is its not Flipkart which sells fake products, but the sellers who are registered on their platform who sell fake products.

Flipkart has taken important steps to identify and remove fake products from their website. It has a strict seller on-boarding process that includes background and reference checks. If sellers are found selling fake products, they are blacklisted from selling on Flipkart and their portfolio of products is de-listed.

We will now discuss what you need to do, if you have received a fake product while shopping on Flipkart. If you have received a fake product, all you need to do is return it. This is how you can return goods on Flipkart.

How to return products on Flipkart?

1. To return the products bought on Flipkart, you must first log on to Flipkart and go to orders tab. Once you click on orders, you will see all the products you have ordered. You then need to click on the product you are planning to return and create a request. The return request has to be created within 30 days, as after this period, you will not be allowed to return the product.

While creating the return request, you will be asked to provide a reason for returning the product. Reasons will be listed as (size fit issue, quality issue, received a different product and item missing) and you should select one among these reasons. If you have received a different product or an item is missing, you must mention it. You should also mention the address from where the product has to be picked up.

2. Once the return request is processed, you must keep the received items handy for return to the Flipkart employee.

3. After the item has been collected, the refund is approved and the amount is credited back to you.
